When orders start to come in there are a few things as a vendor you should do:
- Review the order to make sure everything is correct and that it is a county or address that you service (If you do not service that county or address contact the customer to let them know you will be canceling the order due to not servicing that area)
- When possible as soon as you can call the customer to see if they have any special requirements for their order. If so do not forget to add it to the “Notes” section of the order.
- While on the phone with the customer find out if you are delivering to a house, an apartment, or a commercial location. This is important to know if the delivery will be on the ground floor or up a couple of flights of steps.
After verifying the order and collecting any additional information you are now set and ready for your delivery date.
